Custom High-End Garment Design

By StarBlogger, October 6, 2009 6:19 pm

Impression Magazine, the largest Trade publication for garment decorators, did a great editorial about our company and those involved. Read the full article below.

Screen shot 2009-10-01 at 1.05.19 PM A third-generation garment decorator, Zackary Faraj got the idea for a line of customizable T-shirts, Custom T Couture, Fairview, N.J., after seeing the decline in domestic garment production. “After we embellished millions of garments for the dress and evening wear industry, I felt I should apply our knowledge and experience in a new way by offering individuals the same design elements that high-end designers use,” says Faraj, president of Faraj Inc. and Custom T Couture. In addition to offering printing and design uploading, Custom T Couture also offers “iDesign,” a state-of-the-art Photoshop-like design program that lets customers add clip art or custom images. Beads can be added to designs using a patent-pending beading technique. “The technique was created, developed and tested by us on millions of dresses and couture garments,” Faraj says. “It is inexpensive, fast and has an amazing sparkle and 3-D look.” Customers also can decorate with rhinestones, embroidered and fabric appliques, hot-fix transfers, bead art and beaded clip art motifs that are ready to use and edited to the customer’s preference. Garments are decorated in New Jersey factories and shipped within a few days. Targeting fashion-oriented clients, Custom T Couture has caught the eye of at least one reality TV personality: Kim Zolciak of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Zolciak promoted Custom T Couture on various talk shows and on her Web site, KimZolciak.com. VH1 DIVAS LIVE & Custom Tee Couture

A couple weeks ago VH1 brought back VH1’s DIVAS LIVE to support their Save the Music Foundation and we were lucky enough to provide all the talent and some of the staff for the broadcast custom couture tee’s for the occasion.

Kim Zolciak, Leona Lewis, Kathie Lee Gifford, NeNe Leakes, Kathy Griffin, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, the cast of the new MGM film FAME and Paula Abdul were all raving backstage after getting the tee’s and that featured the VH1 DIVAS logo in Swavorski rhinestones on the front with their names on the back.

However, we were only able to grab one quick photo of Grammy Award winning singer Toni Braxton showing off her very own tee in the midst of the madness during the live telecast. We are still awaiting photos from the rest of the talent.

A BIG thanks to VH1 and we hope to get some of the tee’s signed and over to Save the Music Foundation for auction to benefit their great organization.

Stay tuned…
